For a long time using a mobile phone, a wide variety of information is accumulated in it: messages, calendar events, contacts. If you decide to give your phone to someone, then you will certainly face the problem of deleting your personal data. To avoid deleting each message or contact individually, you can format your phone.
Instructions
Step 1
There are several options for formatting (deleting data) your Nokia phone. But before you start, you should remove the memory card from the phone, so as not to damage it during the formatting process.
Step 2
If you need to delete the phone settings (menu view, display brightness, backlight timeout, keypad auto-lock time, etc.), but leave all your personal data, enter the following service code on the phone keypad: * # 7780 #. The phone will display a warning about restoring the original system settings and, if you have not changed your mind, you should select "Yes". It will restart and format it.
Step 3
If you need to completely return the phone to the factory settings and at the same time remove all installed applications, SMS, MMS, e-mail messages, contacts and calendar events, dial the following code on the phone keypad: * # 7370 #. The system will ask you to make sure that you really want to return the phone to its original state. Click "Yes" and all data will be fully formatted during restart.
Step 4
If you need to format the memory card in your Nokia phone, open the Applications menu and select File manager. Here select the menu item "Memory card", then "Functions", and then "Functions of the memory card". Click "Format". All data on the memory card will be erased during the formatting process.
