The popularity of satellite coded channels is quite justified - after all, this is an excellent alternative to cable TV. Moreover, setting up cable television is now within the power of any person. Most customers use a DVB card - a special card for a PCI slot on the motherboard (similar to an internal modem or sound card), or a special TV set-top box. Let's consider the necessary steps in order.

Step 1
You will need a CAM (Conditional Access Module) - a conditional access programmer. It needs to be connected to the computer through a port on the motherboard. Next, insert a subscription card into its slot, previously purchased from a satellite TV provider. The CAM-module can be built into the DVB card, so it is not always necessary to purchase it separately.
Step 2
Install the dedicated dongle emulator plugin. Its purpose is to reproduce the work of the programmer (CAM module). However, it won't work without keys. As a rule, they are stored in the Softcam.key file. The file is easy to edit, and you can change it even in a simple "Notepad". This file may contain thousands of keys for viewing various channels (however, keep in mind that using someone else's keys is illegal).
Step 3
On the Internet, we find and download an emulator program (for example, S2emu or vPlug). Program files must be located in a special folder (ProgDVBPlugins for ProgDVB or dvbdreamPluginspip00Plugins for DVB Dream). Place the Softcam.key file in the same folder. Next, run the program and check if the plugin is present and enabled or not.
Step 4
There is one more way to configure: cardsharing.
The essence of its work lies in the fact that the access card is not installed on your computer, but on someone else's. The computer with the card is called a "cardsharing server" and can be located anywhere. Its task is to send the keys to your computer in time to view the channel. If the connection is poor, the video may be played jerky, and the sound may disappear altogether. Use the "ping" command to check the rate at which packets are received by the cardsharing servers and select the one with the highest rate.
Try to get test access - a good opportunity to determine if the program has been configured correctly.
Step 5
In the case when you need to watch satellite channels via TV, the number of steps is less, and they themselves are simpler:
a) Connect the set-top box (receiver) to watch satellite channels to your TV.
b) Install the subscription card into the receiver.
c) Register the receiver using the dialog menu.
d) Search and fine tune the channels.
