A SIM card is a carrier of information about a subscriber's phone number and a storage of contact numbers, SMS and other data. If the SIM card is damaged, all data may be lost, however, cellular operators allow you to at least partially restore it. In particular, when replacing the SIM card, you can restore the phone number.
Necessary
- - the passport;
- - phone number.
Instructions
Step 1
Employees of specialized communication salons can and are obliged to replace a SIM card at your first request, if you are its owner (that is, an agreement on the provision of communication services is signed between the operator and you). If the SIM card belongs to your friend, spouse, relative or company, you will need an additional document - a power of attorney. Otherwise, the employee will be forced to refuse you. It is useless to be indignant, this rule is spelled out in the offer agreement.
Step 2
Copy all important data from the SIM card to your phone: phones, names, files (if any). After the map is restored, they will become unavailable. Visit the Beeline communication salon. Take your passport and, if necessary, a power of attorney certified by a notary.
Step 3
Dictate the phone number you are going to recover. Explain your request: you need a replacement SIM card.
Step 4
Then the operator himself will find a SIM card of a suitable numbering capacity, activate it, assign it your old number. Many other parameters also remain unchanged (tariff, most of the connected paid and free services, etc.). You just have to pick it up.
Step 5
The activation time depends on the congestion of the network, but, as a rule, after 5-15 minutes it can already be used for calls. If the card has not been activated after an hour or more, contact the communication salon again.
