If a malfunction is detected during the warranty period, the owner of the mobile phone has the right to its free repair, carried out by the specialists of the service center certified by the manufacturer. Before the start of repair work, the phone undergoes an examination to establish the cause of the breakdown. In case of confirmation of a malfunction due to a manufacturing defect, the mobile phone will be repaired within 20 days.
Modern mobile phones are quite complex technical systems, therefore, even when buying expensive equipment from a well-known manufacturer, the buyer is not protected from its possible breakdown. The consumer protection law guarantees that the phone will be repaired at the manufacturer's expense in the event of a malfunction due to the latter's fault. During the warranty period, the law allows not only to repair the phone, but also to exchange it for another device or get your hands on its full cost.
The law provides for a number of conditions for repairing a phone under warranty:
The defect must be discovered within the warranty period, otherwise repairs can only be made at the expense of the purchaser.
The malfunction must not be caused by any influence from the customer. If it is determined by the expert examination that the breakdown was due to impact or contact with water, repairs under warranty will not be carried out.
The purchaser must retain and provide the service center with the packaging, fiscal receipt and warranty card completed at the point of sale of the mobile phone.

Find the nearest service center
Certification of a mobile phone in the Russian Federation provides for the presence of service centers that carry out warranty repairs in accordance with an agreement with the manufacturer. A list of service centers with all coordinates must be indicated in the product documentation. Many stores accept and hand over the phone to a service center on their own.
Receiving a phone for examination
An examination is necessary to establish the cause of the malfunction and make a decision on the possibility of warranty repair of the phone. The client has the right to be personally present during the expert assessment procedure or to choose an alternative option of the expert center. Receiving a phone from a client is documented with a detailed description of his current state. At the request of the owner, for the duration of the examination and subsequent repair, he must be provided with a mobile phone that is not inferior in functionality to the repaired one.
Telephone repair
If the expertise has established a warranty case, the subsequent repair of the phone is carried out. The law sets the maximum period for warranty repairs within 20 days, otherwise the buyer has the right to a full refund. After repairing the phone, the customer checks its package and functionality.
