You try to send SMS (SMS is an abbreviation for short message service, i.e. short message service), but the phone refuses to do this, or the message does not reach the addressee. Don't panic.

If SMS is not sent, you need to check the account status. If the balance is low or negative, the message cannot be sent.

If we take as an example the three most famous mobile operators in Russia (the so-called "Big Three" operators), then to obtain information about the state of the account, you need to dial:

* 102 # - if your operator is Beeline;

* 100 # - if you have MTS or Megafon.

Top up your balance in any available way, if the problem is in it.

If your balance is normal, check if there is a connection at all. Perhaps you are out of the network access zone, or there are signal jammers located somewhere nearby (this usually happens in office buildings, during mass events). Try walking up to a window if you are indoors.

You can also check if the sim card is well installed. The fact is that the address of the center for sending SMS, the settings are "sewn" into it. When you replace the SIM card in your phone with a card of another operator, all settings change as well. This usually happens unnoticed by the user.

Remove and re-insert the SIM card into place only when the phone is off!

If the messages are still not being poisoned, call the operator:

- for Beeline - 0611 (or 8-800-700-80-00 from a regular landline phone, while the call is free);

- for MTS - 0890 (8-800-333-08-90);

- for Megafon - 0500 (or 8-800-333-05-00).

Tell the consultant about your problem. Most likely, he will find a solution. Perhaps the operator will send you settings that need to be activated.

If there are only temporary problems, the operator will also tell you about it.
