Registering a phone is a free operation to add its identification number to a special list in order to ensure security and protect against theft. This procedure is available only when the ownership of the device is confirmed.
Necessary
documentation on the phone
Instructions
Step 1
When buying a phone, make sure that the IMEI number in the mobile device matches the identifier on the box and in the documents. To do this, dial the combination * # 06 # from the keyboard and view the correspondence of the displayed fifteen-digit code. It is usually written on the warranty card and on the box of the device.
Step 2
Collect all documents you have that prove that you legally purchased the mobile device that you want to register. If the phone was purchased on the territory of another country, provide documents on the passage of customs control or any other papers proving that the goods were purchased by you abroad legally. In any case, registration will be possible only with special documents, so it is best to complete it immediately upon purchase.
Step 3
Submit an application for entering your phone into the database. Once registered, if your phone is stolen, the operators will prohibit its use until the mobile device is returned to the owner. In this case, the meaning of stealing the phone is lost, since it will not be possible to use it for its intended purpose.
Step 4
If you lose your phone for one reason or another, simply contact the phone number indicated for you and, having specified the necessary identification data, ask the operator to block access to the device.
Step 5
In order to find out where in your city you can register a phone, use the information from city portals, in subscriber service departments of mobile operators, at points of sale of mobile equipment, and so on. Please note that there may be an age restriction for mobile registration. It is possible that the data of the SIM card owner may also be required.
