A mobile phone is a loyal friend and reliable assistant. The troubles that happen to him from time to time can easily deprive him of peace, and visits to the service center bring joy to few people. Therefore, do not rush to conclusions, first check your phone yourself. Some malfunctions can be eliminated by simple manipulations.

Necessary

  • - set of screwdrivers;
  • - multimeter;
  • - serviceable battery;
  • - alcohol.

Instructions

Step 1

Remove the battery compartment cover. Take out the battery and inspect it. Pay attention to the contacts of the battery and the contacts that are on the phone board. Insert another known good battery into your phone. If the phone is working, the battery is faulty.

Step 2

Disassemble the phone and check the contacts coming from the battery, they may come off. Remove the keyboard and assess the state of the power button. The button on the elastic band may have fallen out - glue it in place. If the graphite backing on the rubber keyboard has worn off, grab a pencil and rub the patch on the back of the keyboard. Wipe the contacts on the board with alcohol (do not touch it with your hands).

Step 3

Connect a milliammeter to the telephone's power supply. Look at the value of the consumed current, with the switched off phone it is about 5 mA. Press the button to turn on the phone, and the readings of the device will rise to 100-200 mA. If, when the button is released, they again decrease to 5-10 mA, the power controller is faulty. Contact a workshop.

Step 4

Check the charger if the phone works but won't charge. Open the charger and ring the chain. Measure the voltage, its value should be the same as indicated. If everything is in order with the charger, replace the battery. If charging has started, then the battery is faulty, if not, check the connector. Some phone models have a tendency to tear it off.

Step 5

Inspect the display for cracks, chips, and loose spots. Examine the ribbon cable and the place where it connects to the board. If there are no chips or cracks, and the display does not work, measure the voltage at its connector or on the board, relative to the common wire. Voltage is present only on some contacts or is absent - the board is faulty. For repair, contact the service center.

Step 6

Check the connector and cable of the camera if there is no image at all from it. When the ribbon cable and connector are in order, the camera itself is faulty or there is a problem in the board. If the image is cloudy, wipe the camera lens, also from the inside (after getting water). Dots appearing in the image indicate a malfunction of the matrix / hardware driver. Only replacing the camera will help.

Step 7

Dry the recessed phone by removing the battery and disassembling the case. Dry for 5-6 hours in a warm place (do not put on the battery). After drying, wipe all contacts with alcohol and let dry. Assemble your phone and turn it on. If it did not work, the power controller or processor flew.
