A hyperlink is a bridge to navigate to another file. A document containing hyperlinks is a hypertext document. Typically, the hyperlink is highlighted in color, often blue. This can be a link to a file on your computer or on the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
If you move the mouse over the hyperlink, the pointer changes its shape. It usually turns into a hand with an extended index finger. If you click with the left mouse button, then you will follow the hyperlink. In order to insert a hyperlink, you must first copy it to the clipboard of your computer. To do this, select the URL of the web page to which you want to link, right-click on it and select "copy" in the menu that appears.
Step 2
The link will be copied and will go to the clipboard. Please note that only the last information copied there is stored in the clipboard, the previous one is automatically erased.
Step 3
Navigate to where you want to insert the hyperlink. If it is a Word program, then select the main menu item "Insert - Hyperlink" there. A dialog box will appear. In the "Text" field, enter the text that will trigger the hyperlink when you click. In the "Address" field, right-click and select "Paste" in the menu that appears. The address of the Internet resource will appear, to which there will be a hyperlink.
Step 4
If you want to insert a hyperlink in a PowerPoint document, select the text that you want to become a hyperlink. Select the main menu item "Insert - Hyperlink" or click on the "Standard" toolbar on the button "Add hyperlink". In the dialog box that appears, specify the link between the text you have selected and the web page to which you want to add the hyperlink. To do this, paste its URL from the clipboard into the "Address" field.
Step 5
In PowerPoint, it is possible to insert a link to another slide in your presentation. To do this, in the "Add Hyperlink" dialog box, click on the "Place in the document" button (the button is located on the "Link" sidebar). Then select the slide you want to hyperlink to.
