Echo can smooth out the poor recording quality that comes with a cheap microphone. The echo will give the sound more volume, and the speaker's voice will immediately be heard much better.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the audio settings of your personal computer. To do this, go to the "Start" button menu, select "Control Panel". In the window that appears, find the Sounds and Audio Devices icon and double-click on it. A window will appear. In it, select the setting for audio devices. Another window with several tabs will appear.
Step 2
Among them, select the "Audio" tab. Now find the item "Sound recording". To set up an echo for the microphone, find the "Echo" item and put a check next to it. Sometimes this cannot be done. For example, in cases where you work with a built-in microphone (laptop, webcam).
Step 3
Open the sound card settings of your personal computer to enable echo to the microphone. If the sound card is built into the motherboard, then it will be called Realtek (at least in the vast majority of cases). To go to the sound card settings menu, go to the control panel in the settings for audio devices.
Step 4
In the sound card settings window, go to the "Microphone configuration" tab. Look for Echo Cancellation. There is usually a check mark opposite it. Take it off. Go to the output device settings tab. Turn off the echo settings in it, because the sound will be too distorted.
Step 5
Turn on the add echo function in your recording software. You can use the standard application for your operating system, or download and install programs from Sony or Nero. In the latter case, it will be much easier to put the echo on the microphone, and it will open up much more possibilities for working with sound, which is very useful, especially if cheap equipment is used for recording.
Step 6
To enable echo, launch the sound editor and activate the desired item in the sound recording settings. If you use a microphone built into the webcam, you can apply an echo to it through its own software, which should come with the device.
