It is not uncommon for PSP owners to install games found on the Internet on their game consoles. So, PSX-PSP games from the first Playstation, specially modified to work on modern PSP models, are quite popular. Adhering to a certain algorithm of actions, you can download, install and enable the game on your PSP.
Instructions
Step 1
Find out the firmware of your game console. To do this, go to the menu section "Settings" → "System settings" → "System information". The name after the firmware version should contain the letters OE-A or M33. If there are no such letters, you need to reflash the console, otherwise you will be able to install exclusively official games purchased from the PlayStation Store on it.
Step 2
Install the plugin. Create a seplugins folder in the root folder of your memory stick. Then go to Recovery → Plugins folder and enable the plugin. Hold down the R key when starting the console and select the required Pops (Popsloader 5.50GEN is placed on top of 5.00m33-2). Copy the seplugins folder to the root of your memory card. You will be asked if you want to replace the folder. Agree to replace, do not save both folders.
Step 3
Delete the old file from the memory card. This file is located in the ms0: / seplugins / folder. Then reboot your PSP using the VSH menu (Select → Reset device). The updated config.bin file appears on the memory card again.
Step 4
Download the game you need. In most cases on game distribution forums, game files are implemented as folders containing the Eboot.pbp file. Any game will be named this way, only the names of the folders containing them will be different.
Step 5
Connect the USB connection and drop the game file into the ms0: / РSP / GAME / Game_Name folder. For example: ms0: / PSP / GAME / Resident_Evil / EBOOT. PBP.
Step 6
Start your game. To do this, disconnect the USB connection, restart the console and open the memory card folder in the "Game" section on the console. Here you will see your game. Most hands will tell you which Pops you need to install and use to run your game of choice.
Step 7
Turn on Popsloader. Hold the R key right after starting the game. A menu with different firmware will appear. The bottom line is the use of Pops, depending on the firmware installed on your PSP. Select the version you want, press X and enjoy the game.
