You have been entrusted with filming any important event with a video camera. For example, a friend's wedding. This is your first time holding a camera. Do not panic. Take your camera a few days before the wedding and practice shooting. Pay special attention to the fight against the most terrible enemy of novice videographers - "dancing" or as it is also called "drunk" picture.
It is necessary
- - video camera;
- - tripod;
Instructions
Step 1
Hold the camera firmly and place your hand through the special securing strap (usually located on the right side of the camera). Position the belt so that it fits snugly around your hand. You can lightly support the camera with your left hand from the bottom. In the same manner as you usually hold the camera - with the right hand for the body, with the left hand for the lens from below.
Step 2
Press both elbows against your torso. Hold the camera with both hands. This will avoid the shaking effect of the image. You can use the camcorder strap as a kind of stop. To do this, put it on your neck and take it a considerable distance until it is in the most taut position in front of you. The tension that the strap creates will allow you to keep the camera smoother.
Step 3
Train your arms every day. To do this, take any heavy object (an iron, a small stool, several books will do), stretch your arms and hold that for the maximum amount of time until they get tired. Try to support the weight in such a way that your hands do not shake. Over time, you will get used to the weight and it will not be so difficult for you to hold the camcorder without shaking.
Step 4
Use a tripod for shooting. If you don't have a tripod, you can rent one. Any support can be used instead of a tripod. Bench, side, fence, table, friend's shoulder - use whatever is at hand. Lean your right elbow on the support and shoot.
Step 5
Make sure your camera has image stabilization turned on. Check if your camera has one. Sometimes a stabilizer can be built into the lens (this is often the case in cameras). If you do not have instructions, find this information on the Internet. To do this, enter your camera model and the word "stabilizer" into the search bar.
Step 6
Purchase or make your own camera shoulder rest. This design is simple, it is a platform on which the camera is attached (on a tripod bolt). A handle is attached to the platform from below in front, which allows you to hold and at the same time rotate the platform with the camera in the direction of the operator's view. The platform (and with it the camera) is placed on the operator's shoulder.
