You should not immediately fall into despair if you damaged the USB flash drive. Despite all its fragility and vulnerability, it is possible to restore information stored on it, for example, recently taken photographs.
Instructions
Step 1
Create an image of the flash drive using the special flashnul application or use the EasyRecovery program to restore it. When creating an image, scan the flash drive to determine the format of the files being recovered. After creating the image, save the obtained data.
Step 2
Then do a full formatting of the flash card. This can be done using a camera or computer. It happens that access to the card is limited. Clear sector zero. But these are already extreme measures. Try to connect a USB flash drive to a computer without using a camera, those using a card reader.
Step 3
Remove the password from the flash drive. Sometimes, after formatting, a failure of the following nature may occur: the mmcstore file is automatically created on the flash drive - the password keeper. To completely restore the memory card for the camera, modify this file with the extension txt.
Step 4
Then open it with the standard Notepad application of the operating system. Remove the password. Thus, when a flash drive is inserted into the camera, it will be recognized, and access when connected to a personal computer will be free.
Step 5
Use the dedicated R-Studio FAT application to recover the memory card for the camera. You can download a demo version of this program on the Internet. The full-format version is paid, but you do not need it in this case, since the demo version of the program will be enough to restore one memory card.
Step 6
In the future, if the need arises, download the full-format paid version. Start scanning. Set the additional function "Search for files of all known types". After all the files have been found, restore them to any convenient directory on your personal computer's hard drive.
