Step 1
Connect the maintenance-free battery to the charger. Check the polarity of the connection. Set the regulator to minimum voltage. Switch on the charger. Set the voltage to 14.4 V. These actions are performed when the battery is not completely discharged.
During the charging process, the current will gradually decrease. When the value of 0, 2 A and the voltage at the battery terminals are 14, 4 V, charging will be completed. This mode cannot harm the battery.
Step 2
Take a maintenance-free deep discharge battery. When charging, set a low voltage - 12V - 13 V. Make sure that the current at the beginning of the process corresponds to 1/20 of the battery capacity, measured in A / hour. If there is more, then lower the voltage. When charging, the current will begin to rise smoothly. When the value of 1/10 of the battery capacity is reached, go to point 1 of charging.
In special cases of battery charging, a charging current that is equal to 1/5 of its capacity or more can be given. It shouldn't be done for more than 20 minutes. In this case, special chargers are used.
