Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your mobile phone for the firmware upgrade procedure. When working with Samsung s5230 phone, please insert a new sim card into it. This is not a required procedure, but it will reduce the risk of a flashing failure caused by a call to the device.
Step 2
Charge your mobile phone battery. This is an extremely important point, because the device must be disconnected from the AC power during the firmware procedure.
Step 3
Download the firmware files. To find them, use the official forum dedicated to Samsung mobile devices. Download the MultiLoader 5 application from this resource.
Step 4
Connect your mobile phone to your computer or laptop. To ensure the safety of the device during flashing, use the original USB cable supplied with the device.
Step 5
After detecting the mobile phone by the system, launch the MultiLoader application. In the first dialog menu, you must specify the type of platform. For Samsung s5230 phone, choose BRCM2133 type.
Step 6
Place the mobile phone in the firmware download mode. In your case, you need to hold down the volume up / down and power on buttons. Wait for the Download message to appear on the phone screen.
Step 7
Return to MultiLoader and click the Port Search button. When the used USB port is displayed in the application window, click the Full Download button to activate the mode of the same name.
Step 8
Now add the firmware files to each category one by one. To do this, click the Browse buttons located opposite the file type description. The data you are interested in is located in the Calset and Bootfiles directories.
Step 9
Press the Download button to start the firmware upgrade procedure. The phone will restart automatically several times. Reset the device parameters by entering the code * # 1234 #.
