Changing the software of a mobile phone is a process that allows you to add new functions or simply improve the operation of the device. It is important to understand that the phone must be properly prepared for the firmware process in order to avoid possible problems.

Step 1
If you do not want to install unverified software on your mobile phone, then use the utility that allows you to download firmware from the manufacturer's official website. For Nokia phones it is better to use the Nokia Software Updater. Download this program from https://www.nokia.com/en-us/. Install it and restart your computer.
Step 2
Prepare your mobile phone for a software change. Save all important data by copying it from the phone memory. Remove the flash card. Charge the device's battery to at least 50%. Otherwise, the phone may turn off during flashing, which will lead to its damage.
Step 3
Download the firmware version you need from the site https://allnokia.ru/firmware. Be careful! Do not use software designed for other phone models. Unpack the archive into an arbitrary empty folder.
Step 4
Open the directory where you extracted the files from the archive and navigate to the Products folder. Copy its contents to the vplswww.dsut.online.nokia.com.oti.caresuite directory. It must be located in the folder where you installed the Nokia Software Updater application.
Step 5
Connect the phone to the computer using a USB cable and run the NSU utility. In the new window, click the "Start" button. After a while, a new menu will appear. This means that the phone was detected by the utility. Click "Next". Repeat this step a few more times when the appropriate windows appear. Finally, click the "Update" button. Wait for the software update process to complete.
Step 6
Disconnect your mobile phone from your computer and restart it. Check the functionality of the device.
