The operation of setting up the MTS-Internet connection can be carried out by the user without the involvement of additional specialized programs and does not require deep knowledge of the resources of a computer or phone. The main thing is to connect the phone to the computer correctly!
Instructions
Step 1
Press the "Start" button to call the main menu and go to the "Settings" item to perform the operation of setting up the MTS Internet connection.
Step 2
Expand the link "Control Panel" and go to the "Network Connections" item.
Step 3
Specify the "Create a new connection" item to launch the "New Network Connection Wizard" tool and click the "Next" button to confirm the command execution.
Step 4
Select "Connect to the Internet" and click "Next" to confirm your choice.
Step 5
Select the "Set up connection manually" item and click the "Next" button again to apply the selected changes.
Step 6
Select the "Via regular modem" item in the dialog box that opens and click the "Next" button to proceed to the next step.
Step 7
Specify the required modem and click the "Next" button to confirm your choice.

Enter the value MTS GPRS in the "New connection" field and enter the number
* 99 # for phones of Ericsson, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Pantech, Nokia and LG
* 99 *** 1 # for phones of Alcatel, Siemens, Panasonic
* 99 ** 1 * 1 # for Samsung phones
in the dialog box that opens.
Step 9
Enter the mts value in the Username, Password, and Confirm Password fields and click Next to confirm your choice.
Step 10
Click the "Finish" button to confirm the application of the selected changes and return to the main "Start" menu.
Step 11
Expand the link "Control Panel" and go to the "Network Connections" item.
Step 12
Select MTSGPRS and click the Properties button in the new MTSGPRS Connection dialog box.
Step 13
Uncheck the Use Dialing Rules box on the General tab and go to the Networking tab.
Step 14
Make sure that the PPP option is selected in the "Type of remote access server to connect" section: Windows 95/98 / NT4 / 2000, Internet, and in the "Components used by this connection" option, "Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) and Scheduler QoS Packets ".

Call the context menu of the "Internet Protocol (TCP / IP)" item by right-clicking and select the "Properties" item.

Apply the Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically check boxes in the new dialog box and click Next to run the command.

Apply the checkbox to the "Use default gateway for remote network" checkbox and uncheck the "Use IP header compression" checkbox in the window that opens.
