Geotel A1 is the debut smartphone of the Chinese company of the same name. Belongs to the budget class. The internal stuffing is rather modest. The feature of this smartphone is an armored body and a protected screen with which you can safely beat nuts.

The Geotel A1 smartphone comes in a white cardboard box with a minimalist design. In addition to the phone itself, there is:

Dimensions and appearance of the smartphone
The phone is 145 mm long, 78 mm wide, 16.5 mm thick. It weighs 221g.
The Chinese manufacturer Geotel decided not to endow its firstborn with a creative design. The model is enclosed in a rather massive military-style case. A similar decision reminded many of the Blackview BV6000. Thanks to this design, the smartphone looks like an original brutal, masculine: somewhat similar to a kind of armored car with a screen. The power and volume buttons are located at different ends: the first on the right, and the second on the left. They are completely made of rubber. Probably for this reason they are pressed relatively tightly. However, you can get used to them over time, judging by the reviews of the owners.
On the top you can find microUSB and audio jacks. They are protected by a rubber plug that fits snugly into the niche. To open it, you need to pull on the small rubber tab. If you pull it several times a day, there is a risk of tearing it off over time and sending it for repair.
The external camera lens and flash are located in the upper left corner of the rear panel. They are slightly recessed into the body, which serves as a kind of protection when the phone falls. The external speaker is also located at the back.
On the front panel there are classic touch buttons. They are devoid of backlighting. Above the screen is a front-facing camera, an earpiece, light and proximity sensors.
The removable cover is made of plastic, it is quite tough. There are colored inserts below and at the ends. The body itself is made of elastic plastic. The corners of the phone are chamfered. This is to cushion the impact when dropped on a hard surface. For this reason, the display glass is, as it were, pressed into the body.
Display
Geotel A1 has a display diagonal of 4.5 inches, an IPS matrix. QHD resolution (540 x 960 pixels). Pixelation is not annoying at all, as is the case with some models. However, this is not for everybody. Some owners find that this model lacks contrast and saturation.
Memory
The phone "plows" on a 4-core MT6580 processor. The memory has modest characteristics: 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of user memory, of which almost 5 GB is available. However, this does not confuse buyers.
Cameras
The main camera is 8 MP. The settings provide for interpolation up to 13 MP. Only the simplest shots work well and only with adequate light. There is no point in waiting for high definition and optimal detail. There is autofocus. The camera allows you to shoot in FullHD.
The front camera has 2 MP. It is also primitive and designed for video communication.
Geotel A1 operating system: reviews
The phone runs under the operating system Android 7. There is Russification, and complete. There are no third party apps. If you read the reviews of Android 7.0 nougat, the system works briskly, does not hang. No global faults were found in the model. Supports only GSM and 3G networks.
Prices
