Grabbing or satellite fishing came along with the rise of satellite internet. Most satellite providers do not encrypt the transmitted information, so it became possible to intercept satellite data coming in a certain stream. You can receive files via satellite at a time when the satellite Internet user starts downloading something to his computer. For these purposes, a special program was developed - SkyNet.

Instructions
Step 1
Install a DVB card (Skystar2) into your computer, install software for it, download fresh software from the manufacturer's website. Install the program for viewing satellite TV Progdvb. Set up a satellite dish to a satellite for grabbing ("satellite fishing"), for example, Yamal 201. You should choose transponders that transmit not a TV signal, but Internet packages. You can find out using the website www.lyngsat.com. Launch Progdvb and make sure satellite TV is showing
Step 2
Install and configure Skynet on your computer. It is used to grab a satellite stream. Determine the largest number of pids (PIDS) - stream identifiers from the satellite provider. The best way to find out is through the plugin for ProgDvb, which is installed in the program.
Step 3
Install the Fastsatfinder program. Enter the parameters of the transponder of the Internet provider in it, pids = 8192 (receive the entire stream) and check the signal quality. The higher the percentage, the fewer broken or underloaded files will be. If all parameters are normal, then proceed to setting up the SkyNet satellite fishing program.
Step 4
Configure the SkyNet program interface, namely the skynet.ini file located in the same folder as the program itself. Open skynet.ini using Notepad. The lines in it:
incomplete = incomplete
temp = temp
ok = ok.
They show you where the captured files are stored using grabbing. By default, they are saved to the C drive: incomplete folders contain incomplete files, temporary files in the temp folder, and fully downloaded files in the ok folder. You can save them to any place (each separately), for this you only need to register this in the settings, for example, incomplete = D: / incomplete, temp = E: / temp, ok = E: / ok.
Step 5
Write down the characteristics of your converter. To do this, in the line:

lnb = 9750000, 10600000, 11700000 replace the numbers: by 5150000, 0, 5150000, if the C-converter is installed, by 10750, 0, 10750, if the radial, if the Ku-polarization converter, leave it as it is.
Write in the line: # OpenSky (provider name), the # symbol denotes a comment, it does not affect the program, it is used just for convenience. Change the tuner and pids parameter to your own. Enter the parameters of the transponder that transmits the packets. For example, 11671000 V 18200000 A.
Step 6
Launch SkyNet and configure the program to receive files. To do this, press the G button, and then the file types will appear on the right side of the menu. Choose what you need, for example,.avi,.jpg
