Insert the MTS SIM card into your phone and turn on the device. For many starter packages, the activation of the SIM card is automatic.
Step 2
Try to make a call to any short free number (for example, 0877) to automatically activate your SIM card.
Step 3
Make a call to * 111 # in standby mode.
Step 4
Use the option to activate your SIM card by calling the subscriber service +7 (495) 737-8081. With this activation method, it is necessary to tell the operator the code word included in the agreement of use, concluded earlier. The activation process can take up to 24 hours from the date of application, but is usually limited to 2-3 hours.

Use the MTS operator's online SIM card activation system at: www.activate.prostomts.ru

Select your tariff plan in the dialog box that opens to start the activation process.
Step 7
Enter the required information in the fields "Number", "Full name", "Date of birth", "Passport data", "Address" and "E-mail" and click the "Send for activation" button.

Make sure that your mobile phone account is topped up. SIM card activation with zero count is not possible.

Dial * 111 * 0887 # in standby mode to determine your number.
Step 10
Perform the operation of blocking the SIM-card in cases of theft or loss of the phone and use the "Internet Assistant" or contact the MTS Contact Center to initiate the process of restoring the SIM-card with the same number.
Step 11
Remember that in the absence of calls and paid services or maintaining a negative balance for 60-180 days, the SIM-card is automatically blocked. The restoration of the previous number after such a blocking is impossible.
Step 12
Use the short number 0890 to select and change your number (you will need information about the code word and passport data).
