Step 1
Install a direct focus satellite dish on the roof, wall or yard of the house. You will also need a receiver, converter and cable. Before installing it, it is necessary to select an appropriate place so that there are no trees and tall buildings in the southern direction within 50-80 meters. An offset satellite dish can also be used. The diameter of the "plate" is from 90 cm, depending on the location of the settlement. If you do not intend to tune in to other satellites, with paid encrypted channels, then the cheapest FTA receiver for open channels will suit you.
Step 2
Use a C-band converter, as it is at this frequency that the Yamal 202 satellite has more channels, now there are more than 50 of them. The satellite's orbital location is 49 degrees east longitude and, as a rule, the antenna in most of Russia is deployed directly to the south. The best way is to tune with the help of special professional tuning devices, which are quite expensive, you can also use cheaper analogs, which, with the help of an audio or visual signal, will help in tuning to the satellite. If they are absent, adjust using a compass. To do this, determine the degree of the direction to the south on the website www.maps.google.com.
Step 3
Connect the coaxial cable between the receiver, which is already connected to the TV, and the converter before setting the signal. Position the antenna so that the converter points to the south (use a compass). In the receiver's menu, find the antenna setting, and select the Yamal-202 satellite from the list. Since on this satellite the strongest channel package comes from a transponder with a frequency of 3982 L 4285, then select it from the list. Receivers usually have two scales at the bottom: one shows the signal level, and the second - its quality. If the equipment is remote from the place of tuning, then an assistant will be required who will prompt the data on the tuner
Step 4
Turn the antenna to the left, and then, moving it to the right, achieve the maximum level on the signal scale, then move it slowly up or down until the level on the quality scale also becomes maximum. To achieve an even higher signal level, turn the converter from left to right. Then scan the receiver with “Blind Search” and save the data.
