When you send SMS to short numbers, you pay for the services of a third-party provider, the cost of which can be significant. This function can be disabled, and then sending a message to a short number will neither lead to a withdrawal of funds, nor to the provision of the corresponding service.
Instructions
Step 1
The MTS operator has a service called Content Banning. It cannot be turned on or off on its own, either from the phone keypad or from your personal account. Call from your home region on 0890 or 8 800 250 0890. Wait for the answer of the consultant. Let us know that you want to enable the "Content Barring" service on the number from which you are calling, or, if you are calling not from him, then on another.
Step 2
Dictate the last name, first name, patronymic, series and passport number of the owner of the SIM card to which you want to add this service. The operator will disable it. The rule, according to which connecting and disconnecting services through a consultant costs 45 rubles, does not apply to Content Ban. Please note that some paid services of the MTS operator itself can still be ordered.
Step 3
"Beeline" provides the service "Black and White Lists". You can connect it without the help of a consultant. To do this, call 0858 from your home region from the SIM card to which you want to activate the service. Listen to the text read by the automatic informant and select the required level of protection from the keyboard according to the prompts.
Step 4
Please note that, as in the previous case, some internal services cannot be disabled. And if you already have active paid subscriptions, Black & White Lists may not be enough. In addition to them, you will have to disable the advance account with the USSD command * 110 * 272 #. You can turn it back on only through the support service, dictating your passport data.
Step 5
The operator "Megafon" provides the "Stop Content" service. As in previous cases, its effect does not apply to some paid services of the operator itself. To connect it, enter the USSD command * 105 * 801 #. Please note that the service does not work in roaming.
Step 6
If a child uses the phone, select one of the children's tariffs for him - these are available for all operators. The prohibition of sending SMS to short numbers on these tariffs usually already exists, and then you do not need to activate it separately. Parents also receive additional conveniences. For example, in some of these tariffs, children can call their parents unlimited for a small monthly fee, in others unlimited for a fixed fee is the determination of the child's location by the parents.
