Huawei P40 Lite is a smartphone that has high performance and at the same time works without Google services. Is it worth giving up the smartphone because of this and are there any positive aspects to this.
Design
Huawei P40 Lite is very similar to the previous models of the line - there is a front camera that was built into the screen, rounded corners and so on.
One of the main differences is the main camera, which is very similar in appearance to the Apple iPhone 11 Pro or Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The smartphone is available in two colors - black and green. The latter is almost impossible to find on the Russian market; it can only be found on the Asian market.
The back panel is made of durable plastic - no scratches remain on it, after a fall from a small height, external consequences will not be detected, however, it is advisable to wear the cover - it is easily soiled, easily gets dirty, there are stains or fingerprints.
Dimensions Huawei P40 Lite - 159 x 76 x 8.7 mm. And the width here is quite large, and therefore, after a long work, the brush begins to get tired. The thickness is the most common and does not stand out.
Camera
The module consists of four lenses, and each of them fulfills a different role. The first one has 48 megapixels and is wide-angle, the second is ultra-wide-angle and has 8 megapixels, the third is needed for macro photography - 2 megapixels, and an additional one is needed for the bokeh effect and other additional functions - has 2 megapixels.
The quality of the photos is very high - together the lenses do their job. There are no unnecessary shadows, the color palette is very wide. The secondary digital bokeh camera does its job well. Autofocus copes with detecting the main element in the frame and blurs the background.
At night, shooting is quite smooth - there are no unnecessary shadows, and there are very few "soapy" elements. The front camera is simple, but it handles light well. It has 16 MP and can be used to get a good photo in almost any light.
The camera can shoot videos in maximum FullHD (1080p) quality at 60 frames per second. Unfortunately, 4K quality is absent here, but if we omit this fact, then the result is extremely good.
Specifications
The Huawei P40 Lite is powered by an eight-core HiSilicon Kirin 810 processor paired with a Mali-G52 GPU. The RAM is 6 GB, the internal memory is 128 GB. In theory, you can expand the memory using a mircoSD memory card, but you have to order it either from the official Huawei website or from the Asian market, since not all are supported.
The smartphone runs on the Google Android 10.0 operating system, and there are no Google services - everything has to be downloaded separately. In general, installing all Google services is a matter of time and is not a big problem.
