Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 is a tablet that has high performance and costs relatively little money. But is it worth the attention of consumers and is there a need for it?
Design
The appearance of the device is pleasant, it looks pretty good - the rear metal panel is laconic and does not leave fingerprints and smears on itself, and therefore the cover is only needed here for the safety of the device.
Side bezels are relatively thin, and this is due to the lack of a large number of buttons and a fingerprint sensor. Instead, it is unlocked using Face ID. At the same time, the scanner cannot be fooled: there is a protection in which you cannot unlock it through a photo or video.
At the top there is an insert for communication. It is not particularly striking, since it is painted in the same color as the body.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 sits very comfortably in the hand, but due to the large weight of the device, the hand starts to get tired after prolonged use, and this brings discomfort. But in general, no major flaws in appearance were found.
Camera
The camera on the back is quite good despite having 13MP. It is useless to compare them with flagships, because not only in night lighting, but also in the daytime, noises and additional shadows appear in the photo, which should not appear. The color palette is relatively rich. But if you zoom in on the image, then the quality will noticeably decrease, soapy elements and pixels will begin to appear.
The front camera is worse and has 8 MP. There is no flash anywhere. The main lens can shoot videos in maximum FullHD (1080p) quality at 30 frames per second.
Specifications
Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. Internal memory ranges from 32 to 64 GB, while it can be expanded using a microSD card - there is a port for it. In order to charge the device or transfer files between devices, a USD Type-C wire is required. There is a 3.5mm wired headphone port.
The battery is quite capacious - 6000 mAh. This is quite enough for active use of the device for two days. There is no fast charging mode, and therefore it needs to be charged up to 100 percent for 5-6 hours.
Tablet dimensions - 200 × 120 × 8, weight is 343 grams.
Mi Pad or iPad?
Compared to the iPad Mini, the Xiaomi tablet looks no worse, coping with any complex tasks - games or programs. However, the camera is much worse. This is not a competitor to the awesome iPad Pro, but instead of the iPad Mini, you can buy the Mi Pad 4, since the cost is half as much, and the technical specifications are almost the same.
