Samsung Galaxy is a popular family of multifunctional mobile devices. Devices based on this platform operate under the Android operating system, which allows you to make any settings for the device, including setting a ringtone, SMS or alarm clock.
Instructions
Step 1
To install a ringtone in Samsung Galaxy, you need to download the ringtones that you want to put on the ringtone to the corresponding folder of the device. To do this, connect your phone in data transfer mode to your computer using a USB cable. Wait for the phone to be detected in the operating system. In the window for choosing an action option, select "Open folder to view files."
Step 2
Go to the DCIM - Media - audio - Notifications directory of the device. Move there the melodies that you want to set as a ringtone. The sdcard folder also contains the alarms, ringtones and ui directories. The alarms directory is used to download alarm melodies, ringtones for incoming calls, and ui for interface sounds. If these folders are not present on your phone, create them by right-clicking in the file display window and selecting "New" - "Folder".
Step 3
Disconnect your phone from your computer after copying. Turn off and then turn on the device. After that, you can set the downloaded melodies as a ringtone using the corresponding menu of the device. To do this, go to Settings using a shortcut on the Galaxy home screen or a menu item. After that, select the "Sound" section and set the melody you need.
Step 4
To transfer a song from the music folder to the desired ringtone directory directly on your phone, you can use the file manager. Open the Play Store by clicking on the store icon on the home screen or in the device menu. In the search box, enter the query "file manager".
Step 5
In the resulting list of suitable utilities, select the program you like to view files. All applications include ES Explorer, Total Commander or Far On Droid. Install the required program using the "Install" button. After completing the procedure, run the utility to transfer files to the desired directory.
