Sometimes the dull look of familiar objects is very annoying. I want something bright, unusual, creative. This also applies to the equipment with which we have to work every day, namely our computer. In order to diversify your workplace, of course, you can buy some funny gizmos and devices in the store, but you must admit that it is much more pleasant to work on those items that you made with your own hands. For example, you can enhance your keyboard by providing it with original backlighting.

It is necessary

  • - Super glue
  • - crocodile clips
  • - set for flexible electroluminescent 9 V-th neon "9V EL Cable Neon"
  • - keyboard

Instructions

Step 1

Open the keyboard. On the back of the keyboard cover, fold back the edges where the neon cable will go. Be sure to do this so that the keyboard cover slips into place later.

Step 2

Start laying the flexible neon cable between the keys. Glue the cable with super glue to the board as you install it. Do not glue the cord along the entire length, do it through a few keys.

Step 3

In some places it will not be possible to route the cable under the keys, for example, in the area of the arrow keys. Route the cable around these keys.

Step 4

Drill on the back of the keyboard. This must be done in order to then bring out the power wire of the neon cord through it. If necessary, extend the power cable and fasten it with adhesive tape to the keyboard wire, install the inverter in some place of the case.

Step 5

Remember that a battery-powered inverter can run on a regular 9V battery, but if you wish, you can purchase a transformer and plug it into a regular outlet. You can also purchase a transformer on a radio base and use it to adjust the power, increasing or decreasing the brightness of the light and the noise of the neon.
