Step 1
Take the cable that came with your phone. You can use a cable from absolutely any mobile for making a firmware cable. Insert it into your computer, a window with a message about the found device will appear on the screen. Next, the installation wizard will be launched, for which you will need to specify the path to the device driver. Most of these microcircuits use a driver, which you can download from the link https://drivers.mydiv.net/download-Prolific-Technology-PL-2302-Driver.html. Tell the installation wizard this driver.
Step 2
Unsolder the plug, in its place you will later install the desired one. Next in your wire, there are four colors of wires: red, green, white, and black. Find the two outermost pins and + 5V using a tester. Cut off the positive wire. Solder three crocodile clips to the remaining wires to make a firmware cable. It is desirable to solder a crocodile of a different color to the common one.
Step 3
Take your mobile phone's native plug with contacts. Solder short wires to them, bring them in order to a simple die. To do this, you can purchase several simple USB cables that have suitable plugs and assemble one from several, which will contain all the contacts. Insert the received plug with a die into your phone. You need to find the GND, Rx, Tx connectors in the phone jack, use a tester for this.
Step 4
Remove the battery from the phone, ring the tester from the minus and plus contacts on the connector socket. In turn: first find the minus, then the plus. The positive contact will be at the minimum resistance. Then install the battery in the phone, measure the voltage on the received contacts of the plate. It should be about four volts. Remember the negative contact.
Step 5
Connect the firmware cable with crocodiles to the desired pins located on the plate. Plus with plus, minus with minus. Connect the cable to your computer. Open "Control Panel" - "Performance" - "System" - "Device Manager". Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port should appear in the list of ports. Set the speed of this port to 115200 bps. This completes the manufacture of the firmware cable.
