Despite the fact that modern office equipment is developing rapidly, fax machines are still in demand all over the world. People use fax, recognizing this method of transmitting information as one of the simplest and most reliable. However, not everyone knows how to send and receive a fax correctly.
It is necessary
- -Fax;
- -operating telephone line;
- - A4 paper.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on fax. Wait until it comes into working condition and turns on the "stand by" mode. Take an A4 sheet. Locate the paper slot, in most machines it is in the cover, and insert the paper until it clicks. Make sure that the sheet is inserted correctly, otherwise the fax will not function correctly.
Step 2
Prepare the required telephone number. Do not forget to specify the country code if you are sending a fax overseas, as well as the area code. Lift the handset and dial the number.
Step 3
Wait for a response on the other end of the wire. Introduce yourself and ask to receive a fax. This procedure may not be necessary if fax is enabled by default on the other end of the line. Press the "Start" button on the device. The inserted sheet of paper should slowly crawl inside the fax. If a breakdown or technical overlap occurs during the sending process, the paper will stop in the machine. A possible error message will appear on the display.
Step 4
If you called and asked to receive a fax, pick up the handset. As soon as the other end of the line says "receive a fax", press the "start" button. Now wait. If the paper came out of the machine, the fax was successful. Note that you do not need to interrupt the conversation while sending or receiving a fax. Moreover, if the transmission was important and you need to make sure everything went well, do not hang up and wait until the receiving party's fax receives and switches to audio mode.
