Some smartphones and mobile computers running the Android operating system actively use resources to maintain an Internet connection. In cases where this connection is not needed, it is recommended to manually disable its operation.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your tablet or smartphone and wait for the Android system to boot. After that, go to the main menu of hardware settings. Select "Wireless & networks". Complete blocking of absolutely all communication channels is achieved by activating the "Flight mode" function. Check the box next to this item.
Step 2
Unfortunately, there are Android OS versions that do not support this option. If you are using a relatively old system such as 2.3, manually disable each communication channel.
Step 3
Deactivate the Bluetooth function by unchecking the box of the same name. Disable the Wi-Fi adapter in the same way. The described method will lead to complete isolation of the device from external networks.
Step 4
If you need to prevent connection to a specific access point, change the machine's settings. Open the Wi-Fi Settings menu. Check the boxes next to Network Notifications and Wi-Fi.
Step 5
Wait a while for the list of available wireless connections to be completed. Prevent connecting to unnecessary access point. To do this, hold your finger on the name of a specific network.
Step 6
The expanded menu will display the detailed characteristics of the access point. Click the Don't Connect button. Follow this procedure to prevent automatic connection to other wireless networks.
Step 7
If you need to disconnect the GPRS connection, change the connection settings. To do this, select the "Mobile network" item in the "Settings" menu. You won't be able to simply disconnect the connection, so set the incorrect connection parameters. Change the AP name or personal configuration settings. Save the new parameters.
