Step 1
Check your microphone cable and jack. Very often, noise is generated by a damaged cable, in which the contacts are broken. Test the microphone with different cables to find the perfect one.

Make sure there are no other microphones or devices around that can generate high-frequency noise through the speakers. Wind or any vibrations in the air can also interfere with the normal operation of the microphone. In such cases, the use of wind deflectors is recommended.

If you are using a microphone for sound recording on your computer, check the recording volume settings in your sound card configuration. Adjust the volume to an optimal level.

Speak or sing directly into the microphone, as close to it as possible. The less you amplify the microphone, the less noise it picks up.

If you record sound on a computer, then you can process your recording with special filters to remove noise, which are usually included in the delivery of any sound editor. In addition, you can use the equalizer while recording. For example, if you record a low deep voice, and besides this, the microphone picks up high-frequency noise, then in the equalizer settings, you should slightly remove the high frequencies and add the lower ones.
