One of the most common problems for beginner video hobbyists is the lack of high-quality audio. Blowing in the wind, a strong level of external noise, insufficient microphone sensitivity … There can be many reasons explaining a bad sound. One of them is a low volume level when recording in the device itself. For example, in a camcorder.
Necessary
video camera, microphone, batteries, computer
Instructions
Step 1
Check the battery power. If the microphone is self-powered (several "finger" batteries) and at the same time writes quietly, the batteries may be low. They need to be replaced with new ones. If the microphone is powered by the camcorder's battery, recharge it.
Step 2
Get a windscreen if you plan to shoot outdoors. If this is not possible, then choose a location protected from the wind (by a wall, trees, stand with your back to the wind) for filming, or shoot indoors.
Step 3
Before you start recording, check the recording level on the unit (camcorder) itself. Find this item in the settings menu. If you are going to shoot outdoors, feel free to set the maximum recording level. The amount of external natural noises (cars, wind noise, people's voices) usually requires it.
