The main part of modern TVs has a large set of various ports for receiving video signals. This feature allows you to use these devices to work with personal computers and even laptops.
It is necessary
- - HDMI cable;
- - adapter.
Instructions
Step 1
Explore the technical features of your TV. See which video receiving channels are available for this model. The following types of connectors are suitable for connection to a personal computer: D-SUB (VGA), DVI-D and HDMI.
Step 2
Please note that the first port listed is not intended for digital image transmission. If your personal computer has a relatively powerful graphics card, give priority to the DVI and HDMI channels.
Step 3
Make sure your video card has the correct connectors. Modern adapters are endowed with the indicated digital ports. If you need to connect the D-SUB output to the DVI-In port, use an adapter of the appropriate format.
Step 4
When connecting the DVI-D and HDMI ports, use an adapter capable of transmitting audio. Typically, these adapters are supplied with video cards.
Step 5
Turn off the TV and PC. Connect these devices with wires using the required set of accessories. Turn on the equipment. Wait for the computer operating system to boot up.
Step 6
In the TV settings, select the signal receiving port to be used. After switching the mode, the desktop wallpaper should be displayed on the TV display. This means that the synchronous operation of the two displays is currently in extension mode.
Step 7
After starting the desired program, move its window outside the main display. Use the Duplicate mode to transfer an image identical to that displayed on the PC monitor to the TV screen. To activate it, open the "Screen Resolution" menu and select the "Duplicate" option.
Step 8
When working with this mode, you must use the same display resolution for both screens. Do not use the dubbing option with a classic monitor and widescreen TV.
