Instructions

Step 1

Prepare several small boxes, such as matchboxes. They are needed in order to fold all the watch movements separately. At the same time, it is necessary to arrange them in order so as not to get confused about what was going on and what was going on. Sit back at the table. Install a desk lamp. Place a white sheet of paper in front of you. It is necessary to carry out all operations on the parsing of the clock on it. It will not only allow you to quickly find a dropped part, but also acts as a light reflector to increase illumination.

Step 2

Remove the bracelet from the watch, which will only interfere with work. Take a thick-blade screwdriver, heavy-duty tweezers or knife and open the case with this tool. If it is made with a thread, then it is necessary to carefully remove the clogged dirt and unscrew the threaded ring. Remove any loose metal rings or plastic inserts from the housing. At this stage, it is advisable to photograph the structure, so that later it would be easier to assemble it back. Examine the mechanism.

Step 3

Flip the watch glass side down and place it on a piece of paper. In order to get the mechanism out of the case, you need to remove the winding lever. Do not try to unscrew it. Look for a small dot-shaped pin on the movement. It is usually located near the hole where the winding shaft fits. Using tweezers or a cone screwdriver, press down on the pin and gently pull the crown out of the way.

Step 4

Remove the movement from the case, and then immediately replace the crown with the lever. To do this, take the watch carefully in your hands so as not to damage the hands, press the pin and insert the crown. Some watch models have a special screw instead of a pin, which turns half a turn to get the crown out.
