With Terminal Services, remote users on the corporate network are able to establish interactive desktop sessions on the server computer. This allows an organization to distribute central server resources across multiple users and clients. Enterprise sysadmins are responsible for configuring Terminal Services.

Step 1
Run Terminal Services Configuration software after installing Terminal Services to configure it. To do this, go to the Start menu and select the Administrative Tools section. You can also run the utility through the Configure Terminal Server or Manage Your Server wizard.
Step 2
Go to the Server Settings section, which contains six options for configuring Terminal Services. Sections such as Delete temporary folders on exit, Use temporary folders per session and Active Desktop should be set by default. They are used to delete temporary files on exit, create a temporary directory for each user session, and embed active content on the desktop. The latter setting is disabled by default because it reduces screen rendering.
Step 3
Start configuring the Permission Compatibility option. You need to set the various Terminal Services applications to Full Security, which prevents users other than the administrator from changing the registry key. If there are programs where you cannot set such a mode, then install Relaxed Security, which is responsible for weakened security.
Step 4
Configure Terminal Service for Licensing mode. This option is responsible for controlling what types of licenses will be requested by the terminal server on behalf of clients. The default is Per Device mode, which sets one license token. If you have users in your environment who connect from multiple devices, then it would be best to specify the Per User mode.
Step 5
Go to the Restrict Each User to One Session section. If you enable this option, the server will prevent a single user from establishing multiple sessions, which will significantly save Terminal Services resources. However, in some cases, the user needs to run multiple applications. In this case, Citrix MetaFram must be installed.
