As a rule, when buying a second-hand Nikon digital camera, a potential buyer is interested in its mileage, because this indicator better than others "describes" the technical characteristics of the device, in particular, how many camera shutter releases are guaranteed. In order not to be fooled, you need to know how to view Nikon's mileage.
Necessary
Nikon digital camera, personal computer with access to the global network
Instructions
Step 1
Download the ShowExif program on the Internet. The convenience of using this particular software lies in the fact that this system utility weighs less than a megabyte, therefore, downloading ShowExif will not take you much time. At the same time, in order to use this program, it does not need to be installed on a computer: it is enough to download the distribution kit of the system utility.
Step 2
Connect your Nikon camera to your personal computer and transfer your photographs to your PC's hard drive.
Step 3
Run the ShowExif program and in the window that appears on the screen on the left, specify the directory to the folder with the transferred photos.
Step 4
On the photos tab that appears in the middle of the screen, select the most recent photo taken with a Nikon camera. Move your gaze to the right window, which contains all the information about the photo. Look for "Total Number of Shutter Releases" in the list of features. It is this indicator that indicates the mileage of the camera.
