Very often, when using a cell phone, it becomes necessary to view its system folders. The information in them is needed when setting up after formatting the user area of the phone, which occurs when changing the software version, failing to install a new application, etc.
Instructions
Step 1
Some of the phone's settings are stored in its firmware and have the ability to be restored. But each device has unique settings that are specific only to this phone, for example, SUNAVI GPS certificate files. The FAT table is used to store information about the location of files in the phone. Initially, such tables were invented for storing information about directories and files on hard drives of personal computers. Each PC has two such tables so that if information is lost in one of them, the second can restore the PC data.
Step 2
Almost all phone settings are stored on its hidden system drive. Before formatting or flashing your phone, you need to make a copy of these settings. In order to access the system folders of the phone, you need a personal computer, the Maui META Tool software and a firmware cable.
Step 3
Install the program on your computer. Connect the firmware cable to it, install the drivers to it. Configure the program to the port of the firmware cable, click the "Reconnect" button.
Step 4
Turn off your phone. Connect it to the firmware cable, press the power button. The program starts exchanging data with the phone. A list will appear on the computer screen, select the FAT Editor option from the list, in which the right side is configured by default to work with the C drive from the phone, and the left side is responsible for actions with computer files. Files on the C drive are available in the phone's File Management menu and when the phone is connected to a computer using the Mass Storage mode.
Step 5
To get to the hidden system drive in the "Current FAT path" field, enter the path to its root directory, in this case - D. Press the "Get Directory List" button and get a list of directories of this system drive. Select the @Java directory and click "Get Directory List" again to get a list of the files in that directory. This will give you access to the system folders.
Step 6
Sometimes, when you open the directory list, a message appears that there are no files in this folder. After you complete all operations for writing files or reading them, be sure to press the "Disconnect" button to properly disconnect the phone.
