All modern SIM cards are issued in such a way that they already contain markings to select the required size for your smartphone or phone. However, old SIM cards did not have such auxiliary lines and required cutting them out on their own. Of course, communication salons provide a service for the manufacture of a SIM of the required size. But this service is unreasonably expensive. Therefore, we will make the necessary SIM card ourselves.
Instructions
Step 1
There are four main SIM card standards: Full-size SIM, SIM, Micro SIM, and Nano SIM. All of them differ only in size and are located in this list by size reduction. There were also old standards for SIM cards, in which the size of the chip was also different. Such a card is no longer suitable for cutting and making a card of the desired size. In fact, we just need to cut the SIM card to the desired size. Refer to the illustration for the required dimensions.
Step 2
In order to cut out a SIM card and not break anything, you will need sharp scissors, a plastic ruler and a thin permanent marker. Let's mark on our SIM card the desired scheme with a marker and cut out the desired size with scissors. Scissors should cut the plastic well and be very sharp. If the scissors chew on the card, the chip is likely to break. It is also unacceptable to bend the card at the point where the chip is located. The chip is made of a very fragile material, so it can crack from any wrong action. The rest of the process is very simple and fast.
Step 3
By the way, if you suddenly need a different SIM card size again, you can use an adapter from a smaller to a larger format. In addition, if suddenly a trouble happened and the card was damaged, then you can easily exchange it in any communication salon where your mobile operator is represented.
