Versatile free video editor VirtualDub 1.9.9

Instructions

Step 1

Open the video file in the VirtualDub editor. Select the "File" and "Open video file …" items in the main program menu, or press the Ctrl + O key combination. In the dialog that appears, specify the path to the directory with the video file, mark it in the list and click the "Open" button.

Step 2

Set the video processing mode. Open the "Video" menu and click on "Direct stream copy". In this mode, the video will not be processed at all, that is, it will simply be copied from the original file.

Step 3

Add an audio track to your video. Select the "Audio" and "Audio from other file …" menu items. A file selection dialog will appear. Specify the audio track file in it. Next, the "Import Options:" dialog will appear. Select the first option "Autodetect" in it. This activates the automatic detection of the parameters of the sound file. Click the "OK" button.

Step 4

Save the file with a new audio track. Select "File" and "Save as AVI …" from the menu, or press F7. A file save dialog will appear. Select a new name and path to save the file in it. Click "Save".

Step 5

Wait for the end of the saving process. The saving time depends on the size of the video file and the audio track file. Monitor the status of the file burning process in the "VirtualDub Status" dialog.
