A certain category of users abandoned their usual TVs in favor of computer monitors or laptops. Modern technologies allow you to watch television channels using a computer and additional devices.
Instructions
Step 1
First select a TV tuner. These devices fall into several categories. There are internal TV tuners that connect to PCI slots on the motherboard and external adapters that connect to a computer (laptop) via a USB port. There are also devices that can connect directly to the monitor.
Step 2
Buy your favorite TV tuner model. If you are using a laptop, it is recommended to purchase miniature adapters rather than full-fledged USB TV tuners.
Step 3
Connect the TV tuner to your laptop or computer system unit. Turn on both devices. Install the drivers and software supplied with the tuner.
Step 4
Connect the antenna lead to the TV tuner jack. Turn on the installed software. Activate the search for available channels. Make fine manual adjustments to image quality. Save the remaining channel list and settings.
Step 5
Now the fun begins. You need to connect a second TV tuner. Select this device. Consider one very important point: you are unlikely to be able to configure two identical devices. Most likely, they will conflict with each other.
Step 6
Purchase a TV tuner from a company other than the manufacturer of the equipment already installed. Connect it to your computer or laptop. Connect the antenna cable to the tuner jack. If you want to use the same antenna for both devices, purchase a splitter.
Step 7
Set up a new TV tuner. As a result, you should have two programs, each of which works with a specific tuner. To use both devices together (for example, to watch several TV channels at the same time), launch both applications.
