In August last year, Samsung Electronics released a new model of the Galaxy line - the Samsung Galaxy A30s smartphone. Is it worth the attention of consumers and is there a need for it?
Design
The appearance of the previous models of this line was quite popular with users, and therefore the manufacturer decided not to make major changes to the design of the new Samsung Galaxy A30s. If you compare the device, for example, with the Galaxy A50, while not paying attention to the size, then the difference is very difficult to notice. There are identical camera models, the same built-in fingerprint sensor in the screen.
The smartphone is available in several colors: black prism, white prism, green prism and purple prism. However, not all of them are available in the CIS countries. For example, in the Russian Federation, there is no Samsung Galaxy A30s in green.
The size of the smartphone is 158, 5x74, 7x7, 8 mm. It sits well in the hand, while the brush does not get tired after long-term work with the device. Above is the camera in the form of a drop, a little higher - a barely noticeable speaker.
While many companies are ditching headphone ports in favor of Bluetooth headsets, there is still a 3.5mm jack. It sits on the back along with a USB Type-C charging port, microphone, and a second speaker for hands-free calling.
A fingerprint sensor is built into the screen. And since there is protection against false touches, the finger must be held to unlock for about 2-3 seconds, which is long enough, but generally not critical.
Camera
The Galaxy A30S has a triple camera on the back, very similar in size to the Samsung Galaxy A50. It also consists of a 25 MP main lens, an additional 8 MP module that serves to expand the coverage of photography (the wide-angle lens is capable of taking an angle of 127 degrees), as well as a 5 MP sensor that serves for focusing and sharpness.
There are many modes available in the Camera app that you can take pictures with.
- Food: Selects a small subject and makes things a little blurry in the background. An accent is made towards warm or cold colors.
- Panorama
- Live Focus: Required for high resolution photos. Autofocus selects the main subject and makes the background darker.
- Video recording: it is possible to shoot video in HD at 60 frames per second.
The front camera has 16 MP. The aperture value is F2.0. A white section of the display is used as a flash.

The Samsung Galaxy A30s is powered by a Samsung Exynos 7904 octa-core processor paired with a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. The RAM is 4 GB, the internal memory reaches 64 GB (or 32, depending on the configuration). The battery capacity is 4000 mAh. There is a fast charging mode.
