Despite the pandemic, Apple has released a new iPhone SE model. The company has promised to make the phone cheaper, but it won't be without a flaw.

Apple long ago announced the second model of the SE line, but it still did not dare to release it: this phone was both interesting to the manufacturer and not interesting at the same time. The smartphone was released more to support sales of Apple products than to showcase new features and functions. Looking ahead, it is worth clarifying - there are no new opportunities here, except for the available 5G network, supported only in Asian countries.
It is logical that there was no major presentation, and why: there is a difficult situation in the world, but there is nothing to review. So Apple released a release article on its official website and added a product page that read "Coming Soon."
Design
The appearance of the smartphone will not differ much from the iPhone 8. There is a feeling that this is the main template of the company, which is simply modifying it over the years. A 4.7-inch screen without 3D Touch is installed in front, but True Tone remains. At the bottom is the Home button with Touch ID. The back panel is made of glass as standard, forcing the user to carry the phone in a case. When struck or dropped from a small height, the glass will not just crack, but shatter - there is no special film under it that would hold it.
There are few color variations - black, white and red, which looks more like pink in shades. The company is not afraid to experiment with vibrant colors, and now less and less devices with only white and black cases.
IPhone SE can now make calls from two SIM cards, and this is definitely a big plus. However, the device supports one physical nanoSIM card and one eSIM. The latter, by the way, is prohibited in Russia, and therefore we can say that the function of two cards for Russians is absent.
Specifications
Depending on the amount of internal memory, the price will vary - from $ 300 to $ 400. And despite the status of "budget", the phone still remains inaccessible to many, while the technical characteristics here are sad and comparable to the flagships of 2019.
Processor - A13 Bionic, RAM - 3 GB. In many programs, the device will slow down and give an error. Battery - 1700 mAh. This is a very small capacity - the iPhone will need to be charged several times a day. At the same time, there is no provision for fast charging in the kit - a standard 5 W power supply and that's all, although it costs a penny.
The front camera is 7 MP, the main camera is 12 MP, and again this is very bad. The main module has one lens - it's a shame in 2020. You need to compare the 2020 iPhone SE with models of the level of about 20 thousand rubles. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or new Huawei P40 Lite cost in the region of 18-20 thousand, and the iPhone loses to them.
Each of them has a battery with a capacity of about 4100 mAh and a 40W charger, with the cameras being better in many ways. Each lens plays its part and makes the image better, working in conjunction.
Don't expect incredible specs or new features from the new IPhone SE. This phone does not pay off its cost and is not needed for the user. The new model will go on sale on April 24 and, according to popular forecasts, is doomed to fail.
