The Honor 9X is one of Honor's models, popular among consumers as a very powerful option for little money. But is it worth the attention of users and is it worth buying?
Design
The main problem with almost all Honor models is the materials used when assembling the model. And it's not about the build quality - it's always at a high level.
Honor 9X has an attractive appearance. The back panel consists of plastic and a lacquer coating, which leaves fingerprints and streaks on the case. There is also a great chance to leave scratches on it if you carry it in your pocket with keys or small change. That is why it is recommended to use the device with a case.
The dimensions of the phone are 164 × 77 × 8.8 mm, and the weight is 199 grams. It is quite large and heavy, and therefore, after prolonged work, the hand often gets tired.
One of the features is the retractable front camera module. It is used quite often on new flagships. The camera extends and retracts quickly enough, and therefore, when dropped from a small height, in theory, it should either slide in half or completely, thereby reducing the risk of damage.
The fingerprint scanner sits on the back and works reasonably well, responds quickly to touch and generally does its job well. However, it does not recognize wet fingers.
Camera
A module with two lenses is presented as the main camera. Responsible for the color palette has 48 MP, secondary - 2 MP. In the camera application, the default resolution is 4: 3 48 MP, but you can change it to 12 MP. Firstly, this will significantly reduce the weight of the photo, and secondly, the difference between images taken at 48 and 12 MP is not that big.
If you look closely, you can see improved detail and a wider palette of colors, but at first glance - two identical photos (the first image - 12 MP, the second - 48).
And if the camera copes with shots with a large abundance of colors, then macro photography here looks bad enough - a very "soapy" image with low quality.
There is a night mode in the application, and it is quite good, although sometimes noise appears along with yellow tints.
Video can be shot in a maximum resolution of 1080p at 60 fps, and overall this is a good result for a budget phone that costs 16-18 thousand rubles.
