In March 2020, the release of new smartphones from Samsung of the Galaxy line - S20 / S20 + / S20 Ultra took place. Is each of them worth the attention of consumers and is there a need for them?
Design
The first thing to pay attention to is the very large volumes of the smartphone. The proportions of the Samsung Galaxy S20 are 151.7 × 69.1 × 7.9 mm, while the weight is 163 grams. The hand quickly gets tired of working with him - he is very stretched vertically and horizontally.
Moreover, each subsequent model increases in size, and this is not always convenient. This device is designed for two hands.
The back panel is covered with a metal layer and generally does not get dirty, but a safety case is still worth wearing. This is due to the fact that with any fall, the side is jammed, and the paint also crumbles. The weight increases with the cover, and it becomes even more difficult to work. As for the build quality, it is quite high and has no flaws.
In terms of the location of buttons, ports and speakers, everything is normal - below the speaker, microphone and USB Type-C jack, on the left - the volume control and power button, at the top is the speaker. There are no questions about the sound quality - it is clean enough.
There are a lot of color variations - from bright pink to black. The manufacturer's decision to experiment with colors is obviously a success.
Camera
The main camera has four lenses, and together they form an extremely good photo. The first and main one has 64 MP, the wide-angle lens has 12 MP, the ultra-wide-angle lens has 12 MP. The fourth is Space Zoom, which allows you to enlarge the picture 30 times. The S20 Ultra can even zoom in a hundred times.
The quality of the photo taken with the 10 MP front camera is high even at night. There is practically no unnecessary noise, the main object of the image is visible to the focus almost immediately.
As for the main one, she takes pictures perfectly, while collecting a large coverage. In addition to a wide palette of colors, here you can pay attention to saving shadows and fast autofocus.
The macro camera also works well. There is a focus on flowers up close.
At the same time, there are a lot of additional functions in the form of stickers and emojis.
In general, I would like to say that the cameras are very good, especially in Ultra. The 64MB main camera is a big step, especially for the S20 Ultra model.
