Step 1
Find instructions on how to assemble a walkie-talkie on the Internet. Choose among them the one that would meet your needs. Assemble the radio case. For L1 coil use a range setting of 27-30 MHz. This is exactly 11 turns of 0.5 millimeter thick wire when using a 10 millimeter diameter blank.
Step 2
If you need to fine-tune the range, use trimmer capacitors C1 when receiving data and C2 when transmitting. When doing this, note that you also need to consider the receive mode of switch SA1. Adjust the range with a factory-made special control receiver. If you want to make things easier for yourself, take out the headphones, they will set up much faster.
Step 3
Perform tuning in transmit mode after setting the position of the switches to get a loud hiss in the headphone speakers. Ensure that you receive a constant, stable signal from the monitor transmitter you are using, but note that you must not touch the L1 coil. Proceed with the special construction capacitor C1. After you achieve the desired results, proceed to securing the structure with fasteners.
Step 4
Secure the walkie-talkie with the walls of the case, which you previously purchased in radio stores or any other points of sale of spare parts for radio devices. Check the operation of the assembled radio.

When using a homemade antenna in a homemade walkie-talkie, it is best to provide for the antenna power in advance, since its further increase can not only harm the device, but also simply irrevocably spoil it. Also try to align the antenna according to a specific analogue.
