Most of us buy expensive android phones, but do not use even 10% of the capabilities of our device. Rooting will allow you to use your phone the way you want it.
Necessary
- - Xiaomi phone
- - desire to use your smartphone 100%
- - a little patience
- - high quality USB cable
Instructions
Step 1
Activate the "USB debugging" mode. To do this, go to "Settings" - "About phone" and tap on "MIUI version" 5-10 times. Then go to "Settings" - "Advanced Settings" - "For Developers".
Step 2
Unlock bootloader. To do this, log into your Mi-account. Next, in the "Settings" - "Advanced Settings" - "For Developers" section, activate "OEM unlock" and go to "Mi Unlock Status". Click "Add account and device".
Step 3
To continue, you need a computer with internet. Download and unzip MiFlashUnlock program. When the program opens, click the "Agree" button. Next, log into the same account as in the previous step.
Step 4
Enter the "fastboot" mode on your device - to do this, hold down the "volume down" keys and the power button, hold until vibration. In this state, connect your phone to your computer with a cable. Click the "Unlock" button in the program. Wait for the message "Binding time is too short, Less than 72/720/1440 hours".
Step 5
After waiting for the bootloader to be unlocked, within the time specified after completing the previous step, repeat Step 4 completely until 3 checkmarks appear in the MiFlashUnlock program.
Step 6
Next, install a custom recovery TWRP for your model. This can be done, for example, using ADB or ready-made installation scripts that use it.
Step 7
Download the SuperSU archive for your device and save it in the phone memory or on a memory card. Enter recovery mode by pressing and holding the "volume down" and the power button. Then click "Install" - "Select storage", select the storage where you have the SuperSU archive. Click on your archive and then on "Install image". Then swipe to the right, wait for the process to finish and restart your phone.
Step 8
Find SuperSU in the list of applications and check if it works. Done - you have root rights.
