Instructions
Step 1
Assemble the GSM zigzag antenna using eight 80mm wires that form two diamond-shaped cells. For the manufacture of the antenna, use the provided diagram. The conductors, which are excited at points A and B, make up an in-phase antenna array, consisting of four vibrators. The maximums of the current are in the corners (P), as well as at the supply points. The antenna is linear (vertical) polarized
Step 2
Increase the directivity of the antenna using a reflector that reflects the incident energy towards the antenna web. It should be located at a distance of forty-five millimeters from the canvas. For the manufacture of the canvas and the reflector, use one-sided foil fiberglass, preferably the SF-1 brand, its thickness should be from one to one and a half millimeters. Cut the canvas along the contour of the cells.
Step 3
Drill holes at the points located to the vertices of the mesh of the canvas, as well as in the reflector. Screw them to the posts marked in the diagram with number 3 using the screws. When designing an antenna, make stands out of any dielectric, for example, plexiglass.
Step 4
Drill holes from 2.4 to 3.2 mm in diameter and 1 cm deep inside the posts on each side. Solder the center conductor of the coaxial cable to power the antenna to point b, its characteristic impedance should be 50 ohms. The braid must be soldered to point A.
Step 5
Lay the cable along the vibrators, bring them through the ground potential of the web. Solder it with tinned wire to the vibrator and secure it to the stand. Then bring it out through the hole in the screen. Solder the FME 740 connector to the end of the feeder, screw the adapter to it, it can be purchased in a cellular dealer.
