Satellite TV is the ideal solution for anyone looking to watch a wide range of TV channels to suit the needs of the whole family. It is enough to purchase a Svec satellite dish, DVB-cards and a receiver, and then call the wizard or set up the device yourself. Setting up is very easy and does not require any special professional skills.
Instructions
Step 1
Select a location to install the Svec satellite dish. Remember to face south and not be obstructed by buildings, trees or other obstructions. The best option is the roof of the house.
Step 2
Prepare anchor bolts, bracket and hammer drill to attach the antenna to the selected location. Install the bracket in a strictly horizontal or vertical position. Attach a satellite dish to it, then connect the converter and the coaxial cable, which will later be connected to the receiver.
Step 3
Find out the angle of the satellite dish to receive the signal. To do this, decide which channels you want to watch, and then look in the catalog, which satellites correspond to them. As a result, you can determine the required angle for installing a satellite dish, and then adjust it using a compass. If there are already plates on the roof of the house or in the neighborhood, then you can simply focus on them. There is also a special program Satellite Antenna Alignment, which determines the position of the sun and counts the required direction for the satellite dish.
Step 4
Connect all necessary wires to the receiver and connect it to the TV. After that, plug in 220V, be sure to check that the braiding screen and the central core are not closed.
Step 5
Take the remote from your TV and receiver. Turn them on. Go to the "Installation" menu and select "Search for channels", then click on the satellite to which your satellite dish was tuned. A menu will appear on the right in which you need to configure the dish parameters.
Step 6
Turn on the power of the converter and set its type as universal. Select the "Transporter" submenu in which you need to specify the appropriate value. It can be found on one of the sites dedicated to satellite TV. After that, an inscription will appear stating that the signal quality is 0%. This means that the Svec satellite dish is not installed correctly. Leave someone near the TV, and go up to the plate and begin to rotate it little by little until the signal appears.
