The SIM card is often blocked. Either by the company itself - a cellular operator, or directly by the owner. This happens in different situations. For example, when a cell phone was stolen. However, oddly enough, not all cellular users know how to act if they need to block a SIM card.

Step 1
In order to block the SIM card of your mobile operator, dial a short number from your phone. Which one you can find out in the service center of the cellular operator's company or on its official website on the Internet. Also, such numbers are quite often spelled out on the packaging in which your SIM card was. In response to your request, the operator will automatically block your card. The only thing you should remember with this blocking method is that the card can be closed for a short period. Up to about six months.
Step 2
If your phone has been stolen, then call the company directly at certain city or all-Russian numbers. In order to block the SIM card in this way, you will need to tell the operator who answered the surname, name, patronymic of the owner of the number, his passport data or a code word. And the sim card will be blocked.
Step 3
You can also block your SIM card by simply coming to the office of the mobile operator company or to any official point of sale. To do this, you will need a passport. Contact the office specialists, and they will be able to block your SIM card quickly enough by checking your passport data with those that they have.
Step 4
Some mobile operators offer the option to block the SIM card over the Internet. To do this, go to the official website of your cellular company and, following the prompts of the system, go to the section related to blocking SIM cards. There you will be prompted to dial your number (usually ten out of eleven digits) and a specific command number combination. Then confirm your desire to block the card and that's it - it is "closed".
Step 5
There is another way to block a SIM - by entering the wrong PIN code. If you enter it by mistake three times, the card will be automatically blocked.
