Instructions
Step 1
Ask for a mobile phone from relatives or friends. Find out which cellular operator its owner uses. If it is MTS, dial the free short reference number 0890.
Step 2
The 0890 number is valid only in the MTS network throughout the Russian Federation. Also, a call to it can be made, being a subscriber of the UMC (Ukraine), MTS (Belarus), UZDUNROBITA (Uzbekistan) networks. Upon arrival in one of the listed countries, MTS subscribers automatically switch to these operators.
Step 3
If your mobile phone is served by another operator or you make a call from a landline phone, dial 8 800 250 0890. The call is free.
Step 4
If the loss of your card or phone caught you abroad, call the number: +7 495 766 0166. This service is provided to all MTS subscribers who are in roaming free of charge. Please note that the number must be dialed in the international format, starting from +7.
Step 5
Calling one of the above numbers, listen to the necessary information. Switch the phone to tone mode, dial the number sounded by the robot. Wait for the operator's response, tell us about your problem. You will be asked to provide your personal information. After the necessary verification, the SIM card will be successfully blocked.
Step 6
Simultaneously with blocking the stolen SIM card, you have the opportunity to order a new one, but with the same set of numbers. This will eliminate the need to notify friends, relatives and colleagues about another number.
Step 7
Keep in mind that the new SIM card does not contain the old phone numbers. Therefore, it's time to remember with whom of the acquaintances you have the most common connections, and to meet with him.
