Step 1
The MTS SIM card can be blocked through the "Internet Assistant" service. To enter the "Internet Assistant" you need to go to the page https://ihelper.mts.ru/selfcare/ and enter your mobile phone number and password in the appropriate fields. On the left side of the window that opens, you will see a menu. One of the menu sections is called "Number blocking". To set a password, you need to dial * 111 * 25 # on your mobile phone and follow the instructions of the system. That is, if your SIM card is not with you and you have not set a password for entering the "Internet Assistant" earlier, you will not be able to use this service
Step 2
You can contact the MTS Contact Center. If you have another phone with an MTS SIM card at hand, dial 0890. If you are calling from a landline phone or from a phone of any other mobile operator, dial 8 800 333 08 90. Wait for the connection with the operator, tell the reason for blocking the SIM card and name your passport details. Your number will be blocked immediately.
Step 3
The third way to block an MTS SIM card is to go to the nearest communication salon. After you show your passport, your SIM card will be blocked. Also in the salon you can get another SIM card with your previous number, balance and all the services that were connected earlier. SIM card recovery is free.
