Sunset shots are always full of vibrant color and clarity. However, incorrect camera settings can lead to color distortion, loss of sharpness, and sometimes just a black spot is reflected in the photo. Pay close attention to the camera settings, then shooting the sunset will bring not only pleasure, but also the result.
Instructions
Step 1
The light source in most cases should be in the frame. As a result, the picture will turn out to be contrasting, with sharp color transitions. Choose from the entire visible landscape the individual features that you want to display, focus on them. Set the exposure for your subject. Aim the camera at the desired area and press the shutter button halfway. Make sure the section you want is highlighted.
Step 2
Since the light source is in the frame, the sensitivity does not need to be increased. Minimum ISO is preferred (100 or 80, depending on machine model). High ISO will result in noise and ripple in the frame. For large format prints, you can raise the ISO up to 200.
Step 3
Choose aperture according to the scene. When there is no movement in the frame, select maximum sharpness and sufficient depth of field. Decrease only if there is movement in the frame.
Step 4
Shutter speed should be minimal when shooting handheld. When photographing with a tripod, you can vary the shutter speed to create the desired effect.
Step 5
Avoid subjects that were used too often before you: the sun in your hand, a path on the water, and the like. If you use a cliché, then make it part of the overall composition, preferably not the main one. Photograph silhouettes of objects that turn black against the setting sun: old houses, birds, animals, people.
Step 6
Frames with clouds of different shapes are spectacular, especially if they have a specific color: golden, pink, red, bluish. Surely the viewer will also be impressed by photographs in which the sun sets behind a cloud, and the rays are views at the edges.

Observe the world around you and take pictures of everything you see. With experience, you will begin to recognize unique plots and beautiful shots.
